A new direction for this blog

I have not been posting for the past couple months, not just that, I am not even keeping a journal anymore, I understand the importance of having a written record for acquiring a sense of flow of time. Journalling is what prevents us from thinking that time just flew by as we then have the means to look past and see what we did in all that time.

But to journal for myself no longer feels important, and unless I am working on a project the urge to think up an idea to write about is just not there, as for improving writing skills goes, I feel like it would be better to acquire the skill of speaking in new languages that try to hone some artistic ability to weave words together that work for some but not others.

In the mean time I have been exposed to new blog structures and rss feeds that has made me interesting to try out something new. For the past few weeks I have been following javascriptweekly which has an rss feed sharing major releases and discussions surrounding the community. It feels more handpicked than wasting hours at hackernews, and thus I believe I should turn my blog around in a similar structure, but rather than focussing on just a limited topic I plan to turn this blog as my personal bookmark and home for opinionated remarks on things I encounter, rather than a daily thing with date and time logs my weekly journal focusses on new and cool things I found, and links to things I’d lose otherwise.

The posts from here on would probably be a lot longer on here. I also plan to go back and add together some old posts that are too similar in scope.

Pomotroid is a pomodoro tauri app with the designs you see made in svelte. I have myself been itching to make something of this sort with rhe design system I made for my app Karui, but more recently I am playing with the idea to limit myself to pages instead of the 25 or 50 minutes time blocks that pomodoro presents, as I have prepared in my own new foss app Shintaku,

I plan to hyper focus on the apps I am working on currently lot of focus on a breathing app and a dashboard app. Future plans that I am rejecting for now

A timer app

You can have multiple timers running for different projects you are working on
Different countdown timers for upcoming projects
Data logging and graphs for your sleep duration, total studying time, etc
The reason I am not working on this right now is that I have multiple timers running in my head for projects I have ti complete and not fail at, and I don’t want to oanic with a visual reminder as well.

A binaural beats app

I generally make apps that I want and they don’t exist in the form I’d want to use them, I was for long looking for a pleasant app for this
And found this https://www.decimal.fm/, it’s pleasant enough so I’m cancelling my plans to make the same thing.

These people are kinda my inspiration too regarding this.

Canvasjs is much faster alternative to chartjs.

Hyperdroid Launcher on playstore which replicates a windows 11 screen has a feature to run a desktop version of chrome, it is useful on very specific situations when an app or form you need to work on demands to be opened on a desktop browser, but you need work done on it urgently and don’t have a pc around. I have been trying to setup termux-desktop and even tried userland to get running on my android 16 device but it wont run properly, I remember using debian no-root on my tablet years ago and ran chromium on it, it was pleasant, but not available in my phone now, it was last updated in 2020. Fun note that same developer pelya ported openttd to android too.
